Thinking Ahead: The Technology of the Science We Will Need for the Ocean We Want

The EOOS Technology Forum will be hosting a forward looking workshop on the technologies required to fulfill the goals of the UN Decade for Ocean Science and Sustainable Development. The workshop will bring together science and industry to explore the technical challenges and requirements required to achieve the ultimate goal of a clean and healthy Ocean. The case study for the workshop will be “Marine pollution: monitoring, mitigation, forecasting and measuring impact on marine life”.

Call for abstracts open!

We want to hear about you in our “Show and Tell” sessions. Each day we will convene these sessions focusing on different topics to provide the opportunity for ocean industry, manufacturers, tech and sensor developers and technologists to present 5-minute flash talks about their new developments and approaches with the potential to help achieve two main UN Ocean Decade goals:

  • “A clean ocean where sources of pollution are identified and removed”
  • “A healthy and resilient ocean where marine ecosystems are mapped and protected”

Our Show and Tell session topics include: “Sensor and technology development”, “Ocean instrument platforms and platform integration”, “Cyber-infrastructure, AI and applications”

Abstract submissions are now open and will close on the 20th February 2022
